Actiontec Gateway Configuration Instructions
This document contains configuration instructions for use with INTELECTWEB (NeTrack) client DSL services using a Windows PC. If you have an Apple or Unix computer, contact INTELECTWEB for configuration instructions.
Before you begin, have the IP address assigned to you by INTELECTWEB ready to enter in the Actiontec Gateway configuration.
If you do not already have an Ethernet network interface card in your computer, install one.
The screens shown below are for the Actiontec model number 1524. The screens for the Actiontec model 1520 shipped before Aug 2003 are slightly different, but the procedure is basically the same.
1) Insert the CD-ROM that came in your Actiontec packet into your computer. The Actiontec Installation Buddy program will automatically start and appear on your screen.

2)Follow the on-screen prompts in the Actiontec Installation Buddy to prepare your site for DSL and to power and connect your Actiontec Gateway to the DSL network and your PC. Please connect your Actiontec Gateway to your computer using the YELLOW cable to your computer's ETHERNET port. Do not use the purple USB cable.
3) Continue with the configuration of your Actiontec Gateway by clicking Next until you reach the following screen.
4) Select the ISP protocol as PPPoA, and click Next.

5) Check the box "My ISP does not require any User ID and Password," and click Next.

6) Select the IP type as "Static IP," and click Next.

7) Check the box for Single Static IP. Click Next. (This screen does not appear if your Actiontec Gateway is model 1520. Skip to step 8.)

8) Enter the IP address assigned to you by Netrack in the IP address field. Leave the DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields as they are. DO NOT ENTER THE IP ADDRESS SHOWN IN THE EXAMPLE BELOW. Click Next.

Your configuration is completed. The Actiontec Gateway will save the configuration settings you entered and reboot.

9) Click Next to read the additional information provided by Qwest. At the final screen, click Finish and the Actiontec Installation Buddy program will exit.
9) Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer. Use the File Open menu to open http://192.168.0.1/ . The following web page should appear.

Click on the Status menu option.
Your configuration was successful and you are now connected to the Internet if the status page shows the WAN Connection status as "Connected" as it appears in the following example.

Contact INTELECTWEB if you have any difficulties or questions in configuring your Actiontec Gateway and establishing your connection to the Internet.
