THE DNS NAME SERVER ADDRESSES ARE CHANGING!! LOOK HERE FOR THE NEW ADDRESSES as they become available.
The Name Server addresses for INTELECTWEB
are:
ns1.intelectweb.net 67.108.249.237
ns2.intelectweb.net 67.108 249.238
Both the POP3 and SMTP e-mail servers
are "mail.(your email domain)"
The SMTP (Outgoing) server requires authentication. It requires the same
user (account) address and password
INSTRUCTIONS:
FOR PC USERS.
GO TO THE DIAL UP CONNECTION SETTINGS PAGE
FOR ALL INTELECTWEB/NETWAY CUSTOMERS USING THE DIAL IN SERVICE:
Change the number to one of the one listed for your area. (SEE
ACCESS NUMBER LISTING) If the 720 is in the area code
window the change it to 303. Some older computers will have the 10 digit
number in the phone number window.
IF YOU ARE USING THE AREA CODE RULES make sure that both 303 and 720
are set as local numbers (not long distance) and that 10 digit dialing is used.
Add to your login name: "@intelectweb.net" such as
herkimer@intelectweb.net.
This is
not an email address. It tells the dial in service where to find your
authentication
information. Your password remains the same.
IMPORTANT: If you get a busy indication when you try to connect to the new access numbers, it is because you do not allow your telephone number to be sent to others. You must disable the outgoing caller ID blocking. We do not accept anonymous callers because of SPAM and other abuses.
If you use dialing rules then add to the disable call waiting code '*82,' IF you have both the call waiting and outgoing called id blocking features then use the codes '*82,*70,' to disable both features.
If your dial access number is entered with the area code included in the phone number, then add '*82,' to the beginning of the number.
EMAIL SETTINGS:
Email requires that you use your email ADDRESS for your account name.
Account Name: example: myname becomes
myname%netway.net PLEASE NOTICE
THAT THE '@' sign is replaces by '%' sign. This is necessary for certain
email programs.
BE SURE TO USE THE SAME
EMAIL ADDRESS YOU HAVE ALWAYS USED.
Both the pop3 and SMTP servers use the same mail.'domain-name' settings, where 'domain-name' is the @ part of your email address. for example mail.netway.net. The SMTP outgoing mail requires a user name for authentication. This is your email address.
Eudora has a check box under the smtp address and Netscape has a place to add a user name.
Some early versions of all email programs lack the ability to authenticate outgoing email.
FOR MACINTOSH COMPUTERS
CHANGE THE NUMBERS in your PPP connection information
and
change your LOGIN name as above.
ALSO. If you have the following DNS server entries 63.171.68.12, 63.171.68.11, 63.171.68.1, 63.171.68.2, or any other set of numbers change them to the following.
The first name server is : 67.95.238.2
the second is:
67.95.238.1
HOWEVER, if you can set the PPP settings to accept the NAME SERVERS from the dial in provider, DO SO. This is the preferred method. some versions of Remote Access have this provision.
You won't get anywhere if these are not changed.
This should be the last time I will ask you to change these numbers.
Call 303 797 2108 if you have problems. If I DON'T CALL YOU BACK WITHIN AN HOUR CALL AGAIN.

TO SET YOUR MODEM TO V.34 protocol (33600 bps) requires the direct access to the modem. This is accomplished by using a terminal window. (HYPERTERMINAL on PCs)
When in the window and connected to your modem TYPE the following:
AT&F ; this sets the modem to factory
specifications
ok
AT+MS= v34,1,200,33600,300,33600
ok
ATW
ok
ATZ
ok
AT+MS?
v34,1,300,33600,300,33600
This completes the settings. In the modem script put ATZ as an initialization
string
This will set your modem to a maximum speed of 33600.
